We have one guiding principle. The patient always comes first. We’ve built our entire practice around this one core truth. Everything we do is for the good of our patients. That’s why our doctors listen first and then speak. That’s why our administrative staff is patient and helpful with each and every insurance question. That’s why we try and make your appointments work with your schedule. We know that maintaining good health, and healthcare in general can be challenging for people, and so we do everything we can to try and make your experience pleasant, encouraging, enlightening, and, most important, healing.

Doctor Akhavan has been practicing medicine, both as a surgeon and a family practitioner, since 2000, though his primary focus has been family medicine. He received his medical degree in 1999 from Autonomous School of Medical Sciences, and did his residency in general surgery and family practice from 2000 through 2005. He’s served on a number of hospital committees throughout his career, including the Quality Care Committee at Sunrise Hospital, and is licensed to practice medicine in Virginia and Nevada. Dr. Akhavan considers his experience in both surgery and family practice a huge boon to his patients. He has a depth of knowledge not shared by many doctors in family medicine, and he uses this perspective to increase good outcomes for his patients. He takes his role as a primary health provider very seriously, and works hard to give his patients the best care possible. He’s also fluent in English, Spanish and German.
